With energy efficiency and cost-saving becoming more and more important in UK home renovation plans, County Antrim property developer John Stewart set about creating a high-performance family home.
Built to the highest specification over a two-and-a-half year period, Lyle House is now a stunning five-bedroom ultra-modern home featuring timber cladding, a stone façade, high-tech amenities and plenty of additional space.
Integral to the project was a full suite of SILKA aluminium windows and doors, which John chose for their sleek, stylish aesthetic and thermal performance in equal measures. “This project was a long time coming,” explains John. “We’ve had to face a lot of challenges to get to this point, but we’re so happy with the finished result.
“As a property developer day-to-day, I am adept at dealing with all the challenges that came with building my own home, whether it was dealing with the aftermath of COVID, rising material costs or getting planning permission. Having a clear plan and a great team of tradespeople, some of which I knew from the industry, really helped keep the project on track.
“We wanted to create a home that not only looked modern and fresh, but performed too – that’s why we chose SILKA for all our glazing.
